Sanchez, M.D., was born in Havana, Cuba. He was educated at Tulane University in New Orleans and at the University of Miami; receiving in four years, two BachelorÕs Degrees in Science and Arts, both with honors, cum laude. He graduated from Miami University School of Medicine, earning his M.D. degree. His residency consisted of general surgery, neurosurgery and neurology at Jackson Memorial Hospitals\/University of Miami School of Medicine, and at Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e He completed a two-year fellowship in epilepsy, EEG, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology and sleep disorders at the Jackson Memorial Hospitals\/University of Miami School of Medicine\/VA Hospitals, Miami, under Professor Eugene Ramsay, M.D., Director, International Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. Dr. Sanchez also served as a Commander, M.C., U.S.N., as instructor and Director of EEG-Neurodiagnostic Laboratories, Director, Headache and Pain Management Clinic, Director, Complicated OB\/ Neurology Clinic and Director of the Sleep Disorders Clinic at the San Diego Naval Hospital.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e Dr. Sanchez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management.
