Then, they attend the hair cutting ceremony, circumambulate the Uposatha Hall three times, paying respect to the Triple Gem, Bowing to show respect to parents and asking for pardon, receiving a set of yellow robes from parents, paying respect to the preceptor and requesting for going forth, newly ordained Samanera go on alms- round and the ceremony finishing with group photo. During the course, the Samanera has to follow the schedule starts from 5.30 AM until 9.30 PM. Their main activities are practised Vipassana meditation, learning histories of the Buddha, chanting, Dhamma for novice monks and cleaning the temple area.
