Beauty from Ashes: The Story of the Girl Whose Name Means Worthy of Love was written in a place of my deepest suffering and most profound healing that came out of it. Through the experiences I had been through since my youngest years, I had a perception of God that he wanted to hurt me-that he wanted me to suffer. I had built up walls against him and people around me. Each time I became more hurt, the beliefs continued to be validated.

But it took one moment of obedience when hearing God call my name, asking me to put my hands in the air and surrender all to him-that my life changed forever and a journey of standing in bold faith for the unseen until it meets my very eyes began.

This took place over many years. Some of them were in the dark room of my development where faith was birthed like never before through moments of intimacy with him that grew my character in many ways that would never otherwise have happened.

God makes no mistakes in his timing, in his plan, and in his purposes for our lives, and I've learned this like never before.
