This book adds new depth to Galatians 3:13, Cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree. It explores the shame of that act, as well as the motivations of those who did it --, usually a mob. Wasn't there a mob present at Jesus' sentencing? Didn't many come to spectate?
Doesn't social media today, when it turns hateful, evil, or violent resemble the mob that let Barbbas go, but wanted Jesus to be hung on that "tree." Jesus took it all for us, so in Christ, be set free of the Curse that includes poverty and its shame.
