The Levites realized that in order for the people be obedient to God's commands; the Israelites needed to understand, what was written in Hebrew, was necessary to be explained to them in Aramaic so they can act upon hearing and understanding God wishes for their lives. The collection of those explanations in a book, it is what is called Targum. Thus, Targum is an ancient Aramaic paraphrase of the Hebrew Bible. So, if you want to understand those difficult verses of the Bible from a very reliable source, back by centuries of use in synagogues. The Targum is the ideal tool
