It was first published in 1883 by Philotheus Bryennius, Metropolitan at that time of Serrae in Macedonia, and afterwards of Nicomedia, who had discovered the precious volume in the library of the Jerusalem Monastery of the Most Holy Sepulchre at Constantinople.
