Today, colleges and universities are ending requirements to study religion and theology, closing theology departments, and terminating theologians. Is this the 'end of theology'? What alternatives to liberate theological vocations might be on offer to locate previously overlooked contexts? Might the fading of academic theology make room for theological, pastoral, ecclesiological, or missiological renewal? Essay contributors include:

Grace Agolia; John Allen; Caitlin Cipolla-McCulloc;h Lynn Cooper; Matthew Cressler; Michael Dempsey; Thomas Elias; Charles Gillespie; Zaccary Haney; Brian Himes; Jenny Jian;g Agbonkhianmeghe Orobator, SJ; Catherine Punsalan-Manlimos; Cody Sandschaefer; Matthew Shadle; Jason Steidl Jack; Donna Teevan
